We finally made it home today. After a customs delay in Miami, we ended up missing our connecting flights to Spokane so we could only make it as far as Phoenix before finally staying in a hotel near the airport. It was a long and exhausting day, both physically and mentally. My sister picked us up from the airport and then we started the transition back to this culture.
