Back in the US eh

We were up at 8 this morning and I was
really surprised when I went outside. It was very foggy, I checked my
eyes a couple times, then confirmed with Cathie, and yes it was very
foggy out. Wow, that was a relief. I stopped rubbing my eyes, and
started working. We made coffee, dropped the top, converted the bed
back to a bench seat, fed and defed Kona, then we were rolling by
8:45 in the fog.

By 9:15 the fog had lifted and we could
see the mountains, villages, and vegetation. We made good time as the
highways were great and in good condition, no ice or snow. We arrived
at the US border at 2:15. By 2:45 we'd returned our visitors visas,
Hazels permit, and after a short visit with the US customs officer
rolled into Texas. The border crossing at Colombia (near Laredo) was great and we highly recommend it.

Boy San Antonio is a big city, especialy at rush
hour. It took us an hour to get this city in our rear view mirror.
Anyways its 6:50 now but don't adjust your watch, as I do not know
when I will get this posted, our 3G stick is not working in the USA.
We are leaving San Antonio and making good time. Don't worry, I'm not
driving and typing, Cathie is driving and enjoying one of her book
tapes.

Only 3528 kilometers to go, about $400 worth of fuel, 7cups of coffee, 5 chapters in my book, 18 hours sleep, 3 delicious dinners, 17 radio stations, 1 football game, and probably 1 more story.

Cheers
Ross, Cathie and Kona.
