Giants Causeway, Bushmill, Londonderry
Through Counties Fermanagh, Tyrone, Londonderry, Antrim, all in Northern Ireland.
Left Pettigo via Omagh, Cookstown, Maghera, Coleraine and Bushmills, where the whiskey is made.
On to the Giants Causeway. Some story about a giant building it to challenge another giant. Not as impressive as I expected.
Left there for Derry, via Portrush, with claims of being the golfing capital of the world. On to Derry or Lononderry, which has the only remaining continuous city wall in Ireland. It was built in the 1600s. The city now expands way beyond the wall. During the Troubles, more than a third of the old city was damaged or destroyed, leaving it a bit of a hotch potch with plenty of new and repaired buildings. We could walk along the wall all the way which was interesting.
