Where I stayed
Wow, we are finally off! The day at work and packing up our final things couldn't have taken any longer. While we had many responsibilities to take care of, such as Peyton, we did not plan on running into Jan and Dawn, Erin's neighbors. WOW, they were generous by giving us a few chocolate chip pecan cookies, something that we will be savoring on our way to Beijing. (side note: Jan, they taste amazing, but from two foodies to two other foodies, they pair really well with Makers Mark Whiskey!)
Also, our friend April was awesome to give us a ride to the airport. This was just the beginning to all that she, Seth, Cayden, McKenzie and Whiskey Woo will do to help us enjoy our trip; they are letting Peyton stay with them so he can enjoy 12 days with his girlfriend Whiskey Woo! (true love for these 2 German Short-Haired Pointers)
We didn't arrive into Seattle until about 7:30pm, and made our way to the hotel at SeaTac. I am sure many people would have gotten some good sleep before their adventure to Beijing, but we didn't! We were lucky enough to meet up with Erin's long-time friend Emmy as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Matt. They were all so incredibly generous to drive to SeaTac to meet up with us and have a couple drinks paired with some good dinner at Joey's (located at the SouthCenter Mall). It was truly a wonderful way to start off our trip and catch up with with friends and family!
This is all for now, we will update again tomorrow.
