Scotch on the Rocks

Linlithgow           31st  July 2010

Weather: Coooooool! 12C Night – 21C Day

Well after a hectic day spent hitting the high spots of the Big Anus (I believe some say Apple), we left the above still trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Compared to all that the USA has shown us over the last three months New York was a fizzer.

The morning of our last day in GUS of A (Gods United States of America), as we have affectionately come to call it, passed supervising the packaging of the truck into its container home for the next three to four weeks, (why it takes two to three weeks to travel the relatively short distance from New York to London escapes us, as it only took four weeks Melbourne to Vancouver). The guys at the shipping company were expert! Expert that is compared to the Galah's that packed it in Melbourne.

Arriving in Edinburgh was a delight for me personally. Not least for the fact that I spent the six hour flight in cattle class jammed between two lard arsed American’s on a golfing vacation. I couldn’t even flex the cheeks of my arse to help stave of deep vein thrombosis. The UK also promises cooler weather for driving and exploring, and the chance to get the air conditioner in the truck repaired by someone who has seen a Land Rover Defender before.
