We took our time getting on the road today and it felt so relaxed!!  We're on vacation!!!
We headed north again on Highway 1; north of Fort Bragg and the scenery continues to be incredible!!

Advertised on a big sign: "The Drive Thru Tree" and Dave is like, "Let's Do It" and we're so glad we did.  After we got some pictures we were visiting with people by the tree and an Asian family drove up to drive thru the tree and the dad says to Dave, "Can we make it?" and Dave says, "I don't know...It looks pretty tight...Sure..go fo it!" and the Asian kid in the back seat says, "Yaa..It's only a rental".  Dave guides the dad thru the tree and at one point the kid in the back seat yells, "Can we trust you?" Dave shrugs and we all roar with laughter.  They make it thru and we all applaud as Dave takes pictures of them.  What fun!!

We stopped for lunch in Garberville and we had some great food--they put a little dill in the tarter sauce and it's was awesome!!

We go a little further north and decide to drive some of the Avenue of the Giants--Wow!!

When we were visiting with people at the "Drive Thru Tree"  ; they said we had to go to Fernville and see the Victorian Houses so that's what we did just before getting to Eureka!

Tammy from the bakery said to say hi. She was wondering if they should get a get-well card going for your car, but I said that it's doing fine now.

Dave, I see that you liked the town of Ferndale, California with all of the Victorian houses. I have been there on three different trips and was there the year Hollywood was in town making the movie "The Majestic" starring Jim Carerey.
You should see it when you get home. The movie "Racing With The Moon" starring Sean Penn, Elizabeth McGovern, and Nicolas Cage was filmed in Fort Bragg at the historic train station that the Skunk Train leaves from. The movie "The Summer of 42" was filmed in the Mendocino, all good movies filmed in the areas that you passed through.
