where was i went last I wrote? who the hell knows! I think it was miami. Lots of miles have gone by since then. Total miles to date: 4,200. I left Miami bound for Key West FL, which is 120 away. After talking to some dudes at a 'cycle shop I found out that it will be about a 5 hour trip! Aside from Highway 1 being a narrow 2 lane highway, it was super slow going on account of there being a biker run in the Keys. I had 4,000 of my closest HD Rider freinds with me. It was kind of cool to see so many bikes on the road. Mostly Harley Davidson but some metrics and a few touring bikes like mine. There were too many choppers to count, very cool machines. I got lots of pics of them lined up on Duvall St. in Key West It was a huuuge party scene down there.

The Keys were just as expected, scenic, surreal, calm (for the most part), relaxing. It did turn out to be a 5.5 hour ride from Miami, i was beat when i got there. Later that night I ventured out into the little town, which was flooded with bikes. It was a little too much for me so i went back to the room and went to sleep. I guess i'm officially old now. The next morn i woek up and went straight to the bar. To my surprise, people were drinking beer at 9am heheh. I had a virgin Daq and got the heck out of there. The ride back to Miami only took 4.5 hours. wow. Anyway, i decided to ride to Jacsonville FL that nigth. There was some rain but nothign like earlier in the week.

The next day (Sunday) I woke up and rode up to Inman SC to visit my old roomie, Derek. We just watched a few moives and hung out. Its pretty boring there he said...So this morng i woke up early and headed off to Charlotte NC. It was only  70 odd miles.  My buddy Malcolm lives here with his old lady and their granddaughter. The little girl is really cute, she made a sign for the front door that said "welcome, Roy". LOL We just went to lunch and toured around the little town for a few hours. Oh and we hit up a few cycle shops, one had a bunch of old bike I got pics of. Will post later.

So tomorrow i'm off to Dallas TX. I willl go as far as I can but it will probably be 850 miles or so which would make it Shreveport LA, we'll see. I"m feeling pretty scrappy, i might no-doze and ride the whole 2400 miles. I've had a great time this trip but i'm ready to be home.
