The tranquil colonial town of Colonia del Sacramento is where I will take the ferry to Buenos Aires.
Still a bit dazed from my meat delirium earlier in Montevideo, I thought about going to McDonald's to check if their meat would taste better here as well. But in a town as beautiful as Colonia there is no place for fast food. Instead, a lot of appropriately decorated places that blend nicely into the picturesque streets and colonial buildings of Colonia's Barrio Histórico. Some strategically parked classic cars make the picture complete.
I've totalled a mere three days in Uruguay which doesn't do much justice to this charming and inviting country. Uruguay has been a very pleasant surprise.
