Day 186 - We arrived in Vegas last night and have been most graciously put up at our Wagon Master's 5 bedroom home (one bedroom and living room is in a separate Casita).  We have the most spectacular long 180 degree (or more) view of the Vegas Strip, the valley and  the mountains beyond.  Most spectacular in the early morning when we watch the sun rise and then again at night when all the lights come on and it is most stunning!

Day 187 - We are here for the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding of our dear and long-time friends, Dick and Claudia Booth's son Scott.  Very wonderful affair in the heart of downtown Vegas on the 16th floor, so a great view of the city much closer.  The Rehearsal Dinner was in a hotel room called the Pullman Room and there was indeed, I know crazy, but true...a Pullman Railroad Car in the room.  The woodwork also in this older hotel was quite ornate and beautiful.  This was held at the Main Street Station Hotel.  Quite an older beautiful one.

Day 188 - Other friends of ours from the Alaska Trip arrived at this house and we are having a great time reminiscing about our wonderful time together.  The following night we are re-united with 2 other couples who were also on our trip. Two of the couples and our hosts Ben and Nancy are attending training in Parumph, NV (love the name, wouldn't want to have that as part of my address though) and they have invited us to stay in their home (with Dick and Claudia) until they return and then we will take off the 4 of us back into the RV and reality.  This place is quite gorgeous - I really hate to leave.

Day 189 -190 -  There is a radio station here that you listen to twice a day (so next time you come here do this) and they have all kinds of great deals on everything Vegas - from shows, to food, to automotive to beauty, etc. for a fraction of the cost.  So far 5 of us (guess who didn't go) today, went on a hot air balloon ride for $75 ($200 OFF) and the Frank Marino Diva's Show, and have been to several brunches and dinners for next to nothing, oh yes, and also the 50 Top Photographs from National Geographic.  We have yet to go to his Auto Museum with cars of several of the stars, and a musical show called "Raiding the Rock Vault" which is supposed to be great. Both fantastic discounts.  You could definitely become addicted to this station.

Day 191 - We went to Red Rocks Canyon and scenic auto tour.  So gorgeous!  Supposed to be wild horses and wild donkeys roaming free - take a guess on how many WE saw.  Right - 0!!
But the scenery was well worth the drive.

So far I'm down $30 - but that bought me an hour on my favorite slot - Lobster Larry!!  Actually pretty good for having this my 8th day in Vegas!!

Sandy: Fun to read what you've done since we left. Lots of fun! Please tell me the numbers for that radio station so I can stick it in my Las Vegas file for next time. Loved the real estate tour! Jane
