Day 129 and Day 130 - We remain in Prince George getting caught up on chores and just kind of resting up from our whirlwind tour of 60 days and over 5,700 miles.  Our tail gunners were finally able to leave Anchorage, where Bill had to have surgery on his eye for a detached retina and they were trying very hard to get from Anchorage to Prince George to say good bye to everyone, but they just couldn't do it.  So, we decided to wait so that they wouldn't feel so bad.  It was great catching up.

Day 131 - Today we drive about 300 miles from Prince George to Kamloops with Bill and Kathy and one other couple who also stayed to see them. We see lots of farms and some great old barns and then a totally different landscape at the Juniper Lake Proviincial park area just outside of Kamloops.  Very pretty and different.   We were exhausted by the time we got to the campsite and they were almost full.  It would have been too hard to get into the sites, so we ended up dry camping at the Flying J (gas station) !!!! Whoopie!  But, we all made the best of it and had dinner and breakfast and then we got on our separate ways.  They drive south to the border and us to Vancouver.  We are officially over the 10,000 mile mark and Nick has driven ALL of it!

Day 132 - The drive to Vancouver (about 250 miles)  takes us over two summits each about 4000++ in elevation.  One is the Surrey Lake Summit and the other is the Coquihala Summit.

Remember, what goes up must come down and Nick was in white knuckle mode for a greater part of the trip.  The good news is that the roads are fantastic and that's a blessing!

We pass a number of farming communities and are back to seeing cows and horses (not that there is anything wrong with that)!!  Up in the mountains we see evidence of a lot of slash cutting of timber and we then come across a sign that tells us that it was necessary to control the Mountain Beetle Infestation.

Unusual signage today:  "U Turn Around" signs (in case the weather changes quickly in the winter) and you need to get out of dodge!  We are traveling through the Cascade Range of Mountains.

Once down from the mountains and into the valley we pass the towns of Hope, Chillimack, and Abbotsford (very English sounding aren't they), and we now see produce farming - grapes (lots of vineyards), corn, endive (yes one whole farm, nothing but apparently) and it looks like Kale or some such type of planting.

Our final destination is Surrey(one of several (neighborhoods of Vancouver) just about 20 miles or so outside of Vancouver, so tomorrow we will go in and book our tours of the area.

Our final destination is in Surrey ( a "neighborhood" of Vancouver) in a place called Peace Arch RV Park - lots of gardens and even a heated pool - the first yet!!!
