What I did

Flag of United States  , Alaska

Today we went to the Museum that everyone else saw yesterday with out same group of 10.  Since we have already been to Tok (which the GPS lady says "Tee-Oh-Kay) and it's just an overnight stay, we decided to take advantage of this museum and we are glad we did.  It was an amazing campus high on a hill and it was clear enough to see the Alaska Range with it's snow topped mountains.

The museum had several rooms dedicated to all things Alaska - I saw more animals there than I have yet!  However, I DO prefer to see them live!!  I viewed two movies (Northern Lights and Winter (at which point I zipped up my jacked just watching))...

As you can tell, some of these drives are sort of long and tedious so I begin to find things to amuse myself.  Today it was street signs:  Snow White Drive; Bullwinkle Court; Cold Foot Road; and Run A Muck Road.  Just to mention a few...Oh and don't forget my favorites, Santa  Claus Lane, Mistletoe Drive, St. Nicholas Lane...great!

Today's drive was 202 miles and the roads were awful.  Lots of frost heaves and roller coaster roads.  At one time, I thought Nick was flying me to the moon on one of those bumps - I think we were definitely air borne for a moment.  Ouch.  But, all was right with the world when I saw two huge moose right next to the road.

Enjoy the trip.

HA!! I love 'Run-a-Muck' road. If ever I have the chance to name a road, I'm going to borrow that one. Teehee.
