Our drive today was only 131 miles, so we had the afternoon to visit the "Forest" and then we had a nice dinner with the group.
Today my hand is the worst it has been and I almost took a pain pill, but opted for 2 aleve throughout the day. It goes between each hand - very strange - and then some days I feel fine with no pain. I guess it's not the camera's fault. Not sure what is going on here, but the comings and goings of the pain and swelling is not good. Maybe when we get to Fairbanks I'll see someone if it continues...enough...of...THAT!
The "Sign Post Forest" is amazing and huge
Along our travels we find the road is very good. A few gravel patches and some of our group got chips in their windshields (knock on wood for us)...that makes about 6 or 7 people. One guy got a blowout and that was stressful for sure.
Along the way we pass Hyland River (named after a man named Hyland who owned a fur trapping business and printed his own money - nothing wrong with that!!!!)...don't know where HE ended up. But maybe back in the day, it worked!!
We pass about 30 miles of messages made out of rock. It started in the 1990's by a swim team, and it took off from there! Fun to see.
We had to go over a very narrow one-lane bridge, Nick did very well!
Our other landmark was the Cassier's Mountains.
