Today was our last day in Minnesota visiting our long time friends.  Dick and Claudia Booth (who were nice enough to put us up for 5 days); LeRoy and Jane Horn; Bruce and Ginger Olson; and Mary Ann Wadsworth.  All of these folks go back 40 years!  Yikes, did I just say that?  Wow that's just not possible or is it?

We travelled into Edina today, a suburb of Minneapolis and saw some of the old places we used to frequent.  One being the Southdale Fairview Hospital where both kids were born, I also saw the YMCA where I used to work as well (no photo).

You'll see a rare shot of me with Mary Ann.  She and I worked together at the Minnesota North Stars in 1971-1975 for me and she remained with Walter Bush the owner for some 30 years or more and still does work for him.

The picture of the Indigo Bunting wasn't clear unfortunately, but you can see him at the feeder.  The other is a downy woodpecker getting his fill of seed.

Off to South Dakota tomorrow to the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder and the little house on the prairie!  Not sure of the internet connections we will be getting as we go across South Dakota towards the Badlands and Custer State park.  We then get to Gillette, WY for a rally and then through Montana to Glacier National Park and then into Idaho for the start of our Canada/Alaska adventure.

I will take good notes so that I can tell you about the fun times and  hopefully have some fantastic photos to back them up.  Got a great new heavy duty tripod for when I use the big camera, so hopefully when I am shaking in my boots as the grizzly bears (no pun intended) down on me, you
will have documentation of my last photo....if full clarity...ugh.

Chat with you soon....Sandy and Nick

I used to get an occasional indigo bunting at my house (last three years) in Hershey. Really the most exciting color to see on a bird.

(P.S. Note for travel pod : I always click "remember me". But it seems it's short -term memory isn't any better than mine! )
