Today was cold and just a slight drizzle and no sun at all.  We walked for about 3.5 hours around the main streets of Greenville.  Very cute spot - lots going on.  (1)  There was a film crew filming a small number of protesters against guns in front of the court house...we then walked into the visitor's center and (2) there was a film crew filming someone kicking off the season...then...(3) we saw a film crew who were filming hopefuls to win a spot at the race track singing something...WAIT A MINUTE...are we in HOLLYWOOD??????  Did we take a wrong turn? And to top all of that off, it was National Prayer Day at noon!!!

The parks and the falls are amazing.  Lots of acreage and flowers everywhere being planted for something called S P R I N G ???  Where IS it?

This is a VERY Southern town with lots of monuments to the Civil War and lots of statues around town to commemorate those who founded the town many years back.

They even take you on a mouse hunt - NO, not Mickey - they are small bronze mice about 8" long and they are placed throughout the downtown area in all sorts of spots and I guess it follows the book Good Night Moon?  Hey, did Disney write that?

Ok, I'm punchy from too much time in the cold damp air.  Definitely worth a visit.

 Enjoy yourselves!

What a good time you are having, and the trip has just begun.
We are driving to Iowa and have passed quite a few RV's pulling cars. We looked, but didn't see Flat Nick at the wheel or Flat Sandy showing the way!
Enjoy your adventure.

What is it with these southern towns! If it's not alligators, it's mice! Glad you're having fun and all is well.
