overall, this was my favorite place in europe. it was a sort of a centralized base i stopped by whenever i was in the area. its a small place surrounded by a lot of nature, it has an american college with international students, and is right on a fairly large lake. the town is right near the border of italy and its basically and italian town as far as culture and language goes.  i stayed with annamieka (a friend from grass valley going to school franklin college.) she lived in a large apartment / dorm type place with 4 other girls that were all really cool. they let me stay whenever, and were super hospitable. i couldnt thank them all enough.

feb 8th - 10th
so my first stop after milan i arrived later in the day, met all the roommates then went to a "jazz night."
the next day i took a long jog up to the top of a mountain that had an incredible view of the lake and crazy mountains. there was snow at the top. slept in the next day then left for venice.

feb 12th - 13th
-came in from venice and explored the town a little more. relaxed and got some food from an irish pub next door to annameikas. i met megan who lived up stairs, she has spent a bunch of summers not far from where i live in grass valley so when she went back we hand a chance to hang out. left early the next day for dunkerque, france.

march 10th
-stopped by for a little while but everyone was out on academic travel so i kept going and stayed with ramie in milan.

march 16th - march 19th
-came back from nice, france, got some recuperation. went to the irish pub for some live music on st. patricks day. relaxed, a franklin girl cut my hair, went for a walk, mailed some stuff... got a better camera in the mail for my birthday to replace the one i lost.

april 9th - 15th
-came in from paris and met ramie at annameikas. walked around lugano, went to a "german bbq" with a bunch of franklin kids. made dinner for about 10 people.
