I am a self-proclaimed expert at day-to-day tent camping, the national parks, traveling with a little kid, being careful, and living life at half speed. So maybe there is some use in my writing a few words on travel. I have been to 48 states, most of the Canadian provinces, 3 Latin American neighbors, & a couple islands in the West Indies.
I am a thorough traveler. So while I have not been to as far-flung a place as most travelers, I have completely digested the places I have been to many times over. I have found that I am a bit of a "loaferer." When I take off, I most often hit a road and head in a direction and let the wind or the fates or what have you carry me. There is a natural high in being somewhere new and in seeing where the road ends.
