THE ROAD OF MY LIFE
Down the road of my life,
I must follow my heart.
Keep my dreams infront of me,
Know the directions I am going,
Learn to notice the signs along the way.
If I always know who I am, and where I'm heading,
A wrong turn or bumpy road, or two
Won't slow me down along.
Accepting my mistakes and learning from them.
No matter how many curves
A bumpy road might throw at me,
If I keep my road map infront of me
I will eventually arrive at my destination.
Proceeding with caution,
Not being distracted by onlookers and tailgaters,
I'm in the driver's seat.
Only myself know where to go to be happy.
If I hitch a ride with someone else,
I might arrive at their destination instead of my own.
