The most amazing moment in my life so far
It's a toss up between hugging First Lady Michelle Obama and getting to talk to the President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf
I'm Emily. My first travel experience outside of North America was in 2011 when I visited Liberia on an Alternative Break trip during winter break of my freshman year of college. I fell in love with Liberia and swore that I would travel back to Liberia and explore other parts of Africa whenever I could later in life. Less than a year and a half later, I find myself with a flight booked to Botswana in Southern Africa to live and take classes for eight weeks. After a little under three weeks in the US once I return from Botswana, I am embarking on an adventure for my last year of college, studying abroad in Thailand and India.

I hope to chronicle my travels this summer (assuming I have moderately reliable Internet access) and this upcoming year on this blog so that family and friends can follow my adventures while I am abroad.
