Grew up in Ottawa, Canada and east of San Francisco, California. Went to University in the Bay Area before moving to New York City. Lived in NYC for 7 years, working in finance, attending grad school and playing in a reggae band before traveling around the world in 2008-09 and then teaching in Chicago. I am fortunate I have the luxury of enjoying both of my passions, teaching and traveling, every year.
