Amusing

I am in my dottage, have travelled further than most, by sea and train. Do not like flying as I always feel somewhat 'trapped' in a 'plane!!! Never mind all the bugs whizzing around in their air systems !!!
I have lately returned to a country I first visited in my twenties. Its called Switzerland and I love every aspect of it, from its political make -up to its transport system, to its wonderfully friendly attitude to tourists. I ought really to live there and if I could I would!  However, getting there can be just as much pleasure as being there. The modern train systems of the European network are so much more superior than UK. I suppose thats because of the reticence of the two-party system and especially the Tories, to improve/invest in the railway. Mr Escher of Credit Suisse got it just about right all those years ago. Read about him on Wiki !!!
