Amazing “rice field art” in Japan

By starlagurl

Check out these beautiful rice paddy creations. Farmers plant different types of rice in the fields and produce amazing works of art.

Rice field

The blog Cool Things in Random Places featured a bunch of photos in the most recent blog post. I’m left completely speechless at the sheer beauty and at the talent needed to create such incredible pieces. It’s really a shame that they only last for a short period of time, and then plowed under until next season.

What do you think? Have you seen these? Tell me about it in the TravelPod travel forums.

See you there!

    mind blowing

    This isn’t China, it’s Japan.

Yeah, you’re right, Roboto, it is in fact, Japan.

It doesn’t change how striking the images are though.

It is amazing work, though credibility is due.

I’m sure Roboto appreciates the work, just when you write

“All eyes are on China right now, as they prepare to host the Olympics. A side note to that however, might be these beautiful rice paddy creations.”

It gives the wrong impression about the work, especially when one of the most famous Japanese works of art, The Great Wave, is the image you chose.

Anyways, if there is no way to edit the entry then thats understandable. Otherwise it makes this website seem ignorant to other cultures which shouldn’t be the case when it is called…. Travel Pod….

I know, as I said above earlier, I made a mistake. Am I allowed to make mistakes?
