This is not really travel related, but it’s map related, so I had to post it.
Police in the UK are reporting that people are using Google Earth to locate pools and organize spontaneous parties around them. A bit like flash mobbing from a few years ago, it’s starting to become a little bit of a trend among the young-folk.
Using satellite imagery, they locate an attractive pool, and then wait until the owners leave home to hop the fence and throw a party. Most of the guests are also invited through social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook.
Some pool owners have reported coming home to a pool full of strangers, while one resident found a pool full of beer cans upon his return.

Would you attend a pool crashing party?
Let me know in the TravelPod travel forums.
See you there!

I don’t love everybody, especially scum who break into and damage other peoples property. You appear to thing it amusing to leave a load of rubbish for someoneelse to clean up. Why don’t you and your like do something useful instead of pissing decent boring people off.
Oh yeah, don’t want to forget “man”: you are what us normal boring folk call a pisspot, grow up.

For the record, I don’t think that vandalism is amusing.
I’m not sure that calling me a “pisspot” by disseminating the news will help the situation any.
I’m also not quite sure what you mean by pisspot, there may be a cultural disconnect on the meaning of that term. What is your definition?

Holy crap, what a fantastically ingenius idea. That is very crafty. Haha. I wish I’d thought of it.
