The summer solstice falls on a Saturday this year, and if you want to celebrate the pagan ritual amongst the world’s most famous pagan rock formation, Stonehenge, you’d better head over there soon.
It’s one of the few times you can actually touch the mysterious rocks, plus, there’ll be a whole whack of hippie-types and cosplay people hanging around with predictable drum circles and acoustic musical entertainment.

English Heritage has listed it’s “conditions of entry” for this free event, so don’t go climbing on the rocks or damaging the delicate lichen, while you’re at it.
Camping on site is prohibited and you’ll also only be allowed to bring a “small amount” of alcohol for personal use.
Makes me wonder what those crazy Brits consider a “small amount”…
Have a look at all the details at English Heritage’s Summer Solstice 2008 site.
What are you doing for solstice? Tell me about it in the TravelPod travel forums.
See you there!

Don’t be confused, just come to the UK and I can get you in. For this, it is what you know, not who you know
